For those who don't know about liquorice if you eat it long enough your brain tunes out the bitter and you're left with mostly the floral notes in it. The human body associates bitter with dangerous and after realizing the food isn't a danger it ignores it.

FUN FACT: In America, you can buy PICKLE ICE POPS. This is pickle brine that is frozen and then consumed like a popsicle or ice lolly if your British. They are sold in the dry shelf section and you freeze them yourself.

Vegan Pizza has been the most disappointing thing since deciding to have a fully plant based diet. I'm vegan for ethical reasons, but I have only rarely had good pizza from anywhere. Two places (a chain, and a sit-down) I can recommend to my vegan friends, Fireaway Pizza, and a restaurant in London called Rossopomodoro. Both have vegan options that are genuinely delicious. Pizza express is also OK.

I made the mistake of bringing a bottle to an airbnb weekend with the boys. My friend's ex military buddy, 'Jerry', insisted on finishing the bottle with me. There was 5 of us, why two of us finished the bottle escapes me. Probably because the other three couldn't drink it. I suspect i drank between 1/3-1/2 the bottle. It tastes like.. sadness and regret. After brushing that night and again that morning, i could still taste it. Jerry was non functional that morning.
